Care guide and a note on colour

At Talking Walls, we work exclusively with natural fibres chosen for their character, texture and longevity. When treated with care, these materials only grow more beautiful over time.

Pieces crafted from silk and modal deserve a gentle approach. These fibres are strong by nature, yet
sensitive to heat, friction and harsh products. Always consult the care label inside your garment.

Garments made from silk or modal should be hand washed only, in water up to 30°C, using a liquid detergent specifically formulated for wool and silk. Do not soak. Handle the fabric lightly and allow it to airdry.

Steaming is preferred over ironing. If you are uncertain about caring for the piece at home, professional dry cleaning is recommended.

A note on colour

Next to the stories of our walls, colours are our playground and an essential part of everything we create. We care deeply about them. Still, slight variations may occur between the colours you see in our campaign and lookbook images and the final piece you receive. Different fabrics, printing techniques and production runs can all influence how a colour comes to life.

We believe this is part of the beauty of working with real materials, where small variations are simply part of their character.

Stories told

In a small alleyway in Varanasi, a mural features lush green leaves with striking yellow accents on a beige backdrop. Delicate pink and green floral patterns surround the leaves, with a border of intricate floral motifs in blue, pink, and green, creating a harmonious blend of nature-inspired art.

More about Botanik

Sometimes all it takes is a few rectangles of colour to make a wall smile.

Discovered in Miami, this mural strips colour back to its simplest form. Wide vertical bands of lemon yellow, citrus green, faded peach, soft orange and deep teal stretch across a brick façade, creating a composition that is both geometric and surprisingly warm. The bricks remain visible beneath the paint, giving the perfectly straight blocks an unmistakably human touch.

There is something unmistakably Miami about it. The palette echoes the city’s tropical gardens, Art Deco façades and endless sunlight, while the simplicity recalls mid-century modern graphics that never really went out of fashion. Nothing is overworked. The wall simply lets colour do what colour does best: change the mood of the street.

The surface itself has aged gracefully. Sunlight has softened some tones, faint marks reveal years of everyday life, and the brick texture quietly interrupts the geometry. Precision and imperfection coexist effortlessly.

When translated into textile, Miamik preserved that graphic clarity while gaining softness through fabric. The vertical colour fields wrapped naturally around the body, while the visible brick texture introduced subtle depth and movement. A simple wall became a joyful composition where architecture, sunshine and colour meet in perfect balance.
