Ava Birdwatcher - Fray

Discovered in a vintage shop in Antwerp selling absolutely everything, this framed collection of birds quietly stood apart from the surrounding chaos. Delicate feathers, faded paper fragments, botanical sketches, handwritten notes, and soft washes of colour assembled into something remarkably calm.

Muted blues, softened greens, warm ivory tones, faded browns, and one very confident black-and-pink bird create a palette that feels fragile and strangely modern at the same time.

The composition moves somewhere between scientific archive and personal fascination. Different papers, different sizes, different species, carefully gathered together behind glass without becoming overly precious.

The shop itself only made it better. Old furniture beside forgotten objects, elegant antiques beside complete nonsense. The kind of place where taste and coincidence comfortably coexist.
