Care guide and a note on colour

At Talking Walls, we work exclusively with natural fibres chosen for their character, texture and longevity. When treated with care, these materials only grow more beautiful over time.

Pieces crafted from silk and modal deserve a gentle approach. These fibres are strong by nature, yet
sensitive to heat, friction and harsh products. Always consult the care label inside your garment.

Garments made from silk or modal should be hand washed only, in water up to 30°C, using a liquid detergent specifically formulated for wool and silk. Do not soak. Handle the fabric lightly and allow it to airdry.

Steaming is preferred over ironing. If you are uncertain about caring for the piece at home, professional dry cleaning is recommended.

A note on colour

Next to the stories of our walls, colours are our playground and an essential part of everything we create. We care deeply about them. Still, slight variations may occur between the colours you see in our campaign and lookbook images and the final piece you receive. Different fabrics, printing techniques and production runs can all influence how a colour comes to life.

We believe this is part of the beauty of working with real materials, where small variations are simply part of their character.

Stories told

A few years ago in Jodhpur, India. A street view, shot from within a room through a wooden shutter. The tiny straws of the shutter distorted the view, turning the street action almost into a poetic painting. Some of the women in the picture are young, caring mothers bringing their children to a nearby school.

More about Straw

Somewhere in India’s Blue City, one room quietly decided to ignore the dress code.

Discovered in Jodhpur, this striking monochrome interior immediately stood out. While the city is celebrated for its endless shades of indigo, this modest room embraces an entirely different colour. Every wall, step and doorway is washed in vibrant pink, creating a space that feels both unexpected and wonderfully unapologetic.

Jodhpur is known around the world as the Blue City. Just a few hundred kilometres away lies Jaipur, famously painted pink. This little room seems to sit somewhere between the two, borrowing its identity from neither, yet somehow belonging to both.

The beauty lies in its simplicity. There are no decorations competing for attention, only colour itself. Sunlight softens the painted surfaces, revealing subtle textures, worn edges and traces of everyday life. What could have been an ordinary room becomes a complete composition.

When translated into textile, PINK ROOM retained the quiet confidence of the original space. Layers of saturated pink, softened by light and weathered plaster, created depth within a single colour. The result is a print that proves sometimes one colour is more than enough to tell an unforgettable story.
