Care guide and a note on colour

At Talking Walls, we work exclusively with natural fibres chosen for their character, texture and longevity. When treated with care, these materials only grow more beautiful over time.

Pieces crafted from silk and modal deserve a gentle approach. These fibres are strong by nature, yet
sensitive to heat, friction and harsh products. Always consult the care label inside your garment.

Garments made from silk or modal should be hand washed only, in water up to 30°C, using a liquid detergent specifically formulated for wool and silk. Do not soak. Handle the fabric lightly and allow it to airdry.

Steaming is preferred over ironing. If you are uncertain about caring for the piece at home, professional dry cleaning is recommended.

A note on colour

Next to the stories of our walls, colours are our playground and an essential part of everything we create. We care deeply about them. Still, slight variations may occur between the colours you see in our campaign and lookbook images and the final piece you receive. Different fabrics, printing techniques and production runs can all influence how a colour comes to life.

We believe this is part of the beauty of working with real materials, where small variations are simply part of their character.

Stories told

Found on a huge viaduct pillar in Genova, this image feels like someone took a marker and simply refused to stop. Fast horizontal lines, acid green washes, pale stripes, and one dark cut running through the surface like a shadow that arrived too late.

It is rough, direct, almost nervous.

The green has something unreal about it. Too fresh for concrete, too artificial for nature, somewhere between highlighter ink, traffic light, summer grass, and a mild visual warning. Then suddenly that dark purple-black line interrupts everything, dragging the image sideways and giving the whole surface a strange depth.

Nothing decorative in the traditional sense. Just speed, repetition, pressure, and colour behaving slightly out of control. A scribble made large enough to become landscape.

The viaduct setting makes it even better. Heavy concrete, traffic overhead, urban noise, and underneath it all this almost hallucinogenic field of green lines. Genova not exactly whispering.

On textile, the repetition becomes graphic and alive. The fine lines create rhythm, while the darker interruption keeps the print from becoming too clean.

A marker drawing with the confidence of a landscape and the patience of someone clearly having none.
