How we see it

How you wear it

Reflektor

You walk past it thinking it’s a mirage, something flickering in the corner of your eye. But the shimmer stays. And the closer you look, the less certain you become. Tiles? A mosaic? A pool floor, maybe?

Then you realise: it’s a table.

A small, round coffee table in Kolkata, built from hundreds of tiny glass fragments. What caught us was how such an ordinary object could become something almost impossible to read. The grid dissolves and reforms as the light shifts. It looks like water, but it’s still. Reflective, layered and quietly hypnotic, it feels less like furniture and more like something in between object and illusion.

When translated into textiles, that illusion becomes even more interesting. The tiny fragments form a shifting rhythm across the fabric, while folds, pleats and movement constantly break up the original surface and put it back together again. A table that once played tricks with the light in Kolkata now changes with every step.
