A quiet alleyway in Oaxaca, Mexico, covered in colour.
The sparkle comes from Talavera tiles, the handmade ceramic tiles that are so characteristic of Mexico. Pattern after pattern catches the light, turning the walls of this secluded little street into something almost jewel-like.
We love how something as simple as a wall can completely change the feeling of a place. Here, the tiles bring colour, pattern and a little bit of magic to an otherwise quiet corner of Oaxaca.
When translated into textiles, we kept that same rhythm of pattern and colour. The intricate tile designs become a flowing composition, allowing the motifs to shift and come alive with the movement of the fabric.
A little piece of Oaxaca, made by hand and ready to travel.
