A little piece of countryside, hidden in the streets of Tokyo.

Found in a small street in Shinjuku, this mural brings together stylised mountains, terraced fields and traditional huts in earthy tones. The scene feels calm and grounded, a striking contrast to the energy of the city around it.

Black calligraphy weaves through the composition, becoming part of the landscape rather than simply sitting on top of it. Mountains, fields, huts and writing come together in one quiet image.

When translated into textiles, we kept that same sense of calm. The earthy colours, layered landscape and flowing calligraphy come together across the fabric, creating a composition that shifts gently with every fold.
