Sainte Simonne

A purrrrrfect door opener.

Found on the door of a pub in Sint Andries, this folk-inspired painting caught our eye with its lively mix of colour and characters. Blues, greens and purples set the scene, with a black cat sitting beneath a full moon as the pub's emblem.

Around it, stylised patrons and birds add a playful touch, while swirling lines and floral motifs bring a little rustic charm to the composition. There is a lot happening on this door, but somehow it all belongs together.

When translated into textiles, we kept that same folk energy. The cat, moon, figures and decorative details come together across the fabric, with the swirling lines giving the composition a sense of movement.

A black cat, a full moon and one very good reason to open the door.
