A few flowers, a lot of tiny dots and apparently the perfect setting for a pint.
Found on a table outside a small pub terrace in the heart of Amsterdam, this pointillist artwork brings together large flowers in deep red, blue and yellow, surrounded by greens and purples. From a distance, the colours seem to blend together. Look closer and the image breaks into hundreds of tiny points.
There is something rather satisfying about the way the dots build the flowers. What could have been a simple floral scene becomes textured, colourful and full of movement, turning an ordinary terrace table into something worth looking at between sips.
When translated into textiles, we kept that same pointillist rhythm. The tiny dots come together to form flowers and layers of colour, creating a print that shifts between detail and distance as the fabric moves.
A little Amsterdam colour, best enjoyed with a pint.
