A peacock that clearly knows how to make an entrance.

Found by Pascale Michel, owner of Scènes de Menage, a wonderful vintage shop in Brussels, this exquisite silk tapestry is covered with colour and intricate detail. The peacock takes centre stage, with a vibrant blue body and a magnificent tail fan spreading out behind it.

Golden and brown patterns run through the tail, dotted with those unmistakable eye-like shapes in blue and green. There is something wonderfully theatrical about the whole composition, but the intricate details keep drawing you back in.

When translated into textiles, we kept that same sense of abundance. The peacock and its magnificent tail spread across the fabric, with the colours and patterns revealing new details as it moves and folds.
