A face with a rather good sense of humour.

Found on a wall at Brasserie Illegaal near Brussels, this graffiti piece caught our eye with its oversized yellow eyes, black outlines and bold green and pink backdrop. There is very little to it, yet somehow the face has plenty of personality.

Perhaps that is what makes it work. Surrounded by the raw, urban energy of the space, the simple shapes and expressive eyes feel playful without trying too hard.

When translated into textiles, we kept that same quirky simplicity. The bold colours and oversized eyes create a graphic composition that shifts and changes as the fabric moves and folds.

A little Brussels attitude, with a very good pair of eyes.
