Found in Antwerp’s diamond district, this wall clearly had no intention of staying discreet. A painted figure in soft pinks, yellow, navy and black suddenly covered in dozens of hanging tassels, as if the mural decided flat paint was simply not enough.

Threads, knots, fringes, cords and faded colours fall across the surface like jewellery, curtains, costume details or very enthusiastic decoration. Beige, coral, dusty pink, gold, red and olive tassels swinging against a bold painted background. Unexpectedly funky. Strangely elegant.

The setting makes it even better. Antwerp’s diamond district usually speaks in polish, precision and value. Here, everything feels looser. Handmade. Slightly chaotic. More backroom treasure than display window.

The tassels bring movement to a static wall. The painted figure becomes part portrait, part textile installation, part street accident that somehow understood styling very well.

On textile, the image turns rich and layered. Painted colour, real texture, shadows and thread all blending into one surface.
