A little garden with a very colourful guardian.

On the way to Mexico City, this parking lot mural caught our eye with its riot of pinks, purples, oranges and blues. Fantastical flowers and playful leaves fill the wall, creating a garden that feels more imagined than botanical.

And then there is the colibri. Peeking out among the flowers, it adds a little personality to the whole scene, as though it has appointed itself guardian of this technicolour paradise.

When translated into textiles, we kept that same sense of playful abundance. The flowers, leaves and bold colours spread across the fabric, while the little colibri remains tucked into the composition, waiting to be noticed.
