Chiesa De La Madonna Di Como

If walls could talk, this one would whisper.

Inside the Chiesa della Madonna in Brienno, warm ochre walls are covered with names, dates, hearts and scratched traces left by passing hands. Beyond the arch, Lake Como opens into light, water and mountains. Inside, the wall keeps a quieter record.

Nothing here feels polished. The surface is worn, marked and deeply human. Every line looks spontaneous, almost impatient, yet together they form an accidental archive of people who wanted to leave something behind.

When translated into textile, the design retained those scratched gestures, warm plaster tones and layered traces. A study of memory written directly onto a wall.
