Burlesque

A little cabaret, right there on the street.

Found in Paris, this flamboyant mural brings together feather-like pink strokes and a dark centre, creating an image that feels somewhere between a vintage cabaret show and a burst of stage feathers.

The graffiti surrounding it makes the whole thing feel even more at home. There is something playful and slightly rebellious about the combination, as if a little piece of Parisian theatre has escaped onto the street.

When translated into textiles, we kept that same theatrical movement. The pink strokes radiate across the fabric, while the dark centre gives the composition its depth and drama.

A little Parisian cabaret, found on a wall.
