A few cherry blossoms, painted by hand on a shop window in Athens.
We found this delicate floral scene on the window of Alexandrakis, the oldest fashion boutique in Athens. Against the glass, the blossoms feel almost suspended, turning an ordinary shopfront into something softer and more poetic.
There is something lovely about finding flowers somewhere you do not expect them. No garden, no branches reaching across a landscape, just a handful of blossoms quietly appearing on a city window.
The hand-painted quality is part of the charm. The flowers retain a sense of movement and imperfection, making them feel more personal than a printed decoration ever would.
When translated into textiles, we kept that same lightness. The cherry blossoms move across the fabric like they are still floating on the window, creating a floral print with a quiet, graceful rhythm.
A little springtime, found on the window of one of Athens’ oldest fashion boutiques.
