Traces of life, worn to last

At Talking Walls, we see beauty where others pass by. A cartoon cat fading on a school wall in Kyoto, a painted flower peeking through plaster in Paris. A face scribbled in blue on a café wall in New York.

The designs that surround us every day — on walls, tiles, objects — often disappear into habit before we truly notice them. Some don’t. They linger, catch the eye, and begin to speak, carrying traces of place, time, and life.

We take those moments and turn them into fine garments, crafted from noble fabrics and shaped by what we found. Authentic beauty discovered in the world, drawn from the worn and weathered, and transformed into collections with character and meaning that endure over time.

For those who move through the world with open eyes — curious, drawn to discovery, to difference, and to the stories of others. Now more than ever.

The story about the stories

Talking Walls began as an idea sparked by Philippe Pelsmaekers, a former communications and design professional. Captivated by the craftsmanship, personality, and artistic flair of small shop signs from around the world, he felt drawn to the people behind them and their untold stories. Determined to bring these narratives to life, he set off to India in search of the best tales.

A few years later, with the support of some of the most fantastic people on earth, Talking Walls evolved into a brand that weaves the stories of the streets into its collections. Designed by Trui Vermeire, the collections bring these global narratives to life at the highest level of the industry, across scarves and ready-to-wear pieces. Today, Talking Walls is sold in about 500 high-segment boutiques worldwide, continuing to expand across new markets.
